Since 2006, she has founded and currently coordinates the Hybrid Design Lab, a design laboratory dedicated to the relationship between design and science, with a particular focus on biomimetics experimentation in design and the integration of designers in the development processes of new materials, which is the specific purpose of the Designer in lab project.
In her research activities, she investigates the opportunities to build paths of sustainable innovation that involve the most advanced scientific contributions and user attitudes in the design process. Her projects always involve a fusion of craftsmanship and innovation, as well as collaboration between design and sciences, particularly the life sciences.
